The Dark Forest always wins.

Halloween Horror.

The locals saw the heroines arrive and before they could say a word, saw them charge into the forest. Had they paused even for a moment to speak to a local first, perhaps the outcome would be different. Instead, a series of screams, then silence. The locals knew better than to look for the heroines. They already knew.

And somewhere in the forest, a macab machine whirls slowly, and four lifeless bodies
impaled in the air rotate lazily from rusty metal hooks. The Dark Forest always wins.
