On direct orders from the Dalek Emperor many human subjects were captured for the sole purpose of experimentation. A detailed study, both physiological and psychological in nature, was undertaken with the express purpose of cross-referencing it to similar studies made of other humanoid species they had encountered with specific emphasis on the Thals, the Time Lords and even the Kaleds.
